Due to the complexity of the integrative neurological and psychological functions, manifestations of the intensivity of brain damage can vary. Coma is not an unchangeable state, so future therapy depends on the clinical situation and continual evaluation of the patient. Structured treatment intervention consist of visual, auditory, olfactory, gustatory and tactile stimulation as well as passive movements. The stimulation program the these patients is highly individual. Beside the therapist, a family has an irreplaceable role in all stages of sensomotor stimulation.methodsPrimljeno/Received 11. 6. 1997.
